My Mission
At J1 Training, my mission is to provide guidance, coaching and training skills for young football players from Titans to Quakers.
About J1 Training
What your child should expect to improve at:
- Basic Ball Skills: I teach young players proper techniques for gripping the ball, carrying it securely, and executing basic handoffs. Developing solid ball-handling skills lays the foundation for all other aspects of the game.
- Passing and Catching: Passing and catching are essential skills for quarterbacks, receivers, and even defenders. I focus on teaching kids the proper throwing motion, including grip, release, and follow-through. Additionally, we work on receiving techniques such as hand placement, hand-eye coordination, and securing the ball after the catch.
- Running and Footwork: Running with the football requires good footwork and agility. I help young players develop proper running mechanics, including balance, acceleration, and change of direction. Agility drills, ladder drills, and cone exercises are incorporated to improve agility, balance, and coordination
- Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Beyond individual skills, I like to emphasize the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for the game. I look to instill values such as cooperation, communication, and camaraderie among young players. Fostering a positive team culture promotes mutual respect, unity, and enjoyment of the game.
About Me:
I grew up loving sports, particularly Football. I have lived in both NY and Florida. Football in Florida is like a religion. I immediately loved it and when my family moved my sisters and I back to NY, I was very excited to take the field that my dad once played on at Greeley. I am entering my Senior season and am very excited to see what we can do this upcoming year!
